As part of the rapidly growing QuikDrop International with aggressive expansion plans for the Austin, San Antonio, El Paso and Lubbock Areas, QuikDrop of Midland has been selected by Mr. Ron Morgan to broker the sale of an extensive estate collection of valuable jewelry, art, artifacts, antiques and furnishings from all over the world; assets of the much-contested Estate of Jacqueline (Jackie) Everts Bancroft Spencer Morgan, an heiress and philanthropist. 

 

Jackie Spencer-Morgan’s first husband was Dow Jones heir Hugh Bancroft Jr.  Mrs. Spencer-Morgan’s fortune came from Bancroft, the grandson of Wall Street Journal founder and co-owner Charles Barron.  Mrs. Spencer-Morgan used her money for various philanthropic causes, including the building of the $22 million Spencer Theater in Alto, New Mexico .  Ron Morgan was involved in designing the interior décor of the Spencer Theater . 

 

Following a decade of friendship, Jackie Spencer married Ron Morgan in 2000.  She was 75 years old.  Mrs. Spencer-Morgan died in May 2003. Soon after, Ron Morgan found himself embroiled in a lawsuit with the trustees of his deceased wife’s $50 million plus  estate and her children by her first marriage, Former Forbes 400 heirs fight for "Mom's Money"  (http://www.forbes.com/free_forbes/2005/1010/044.html ) and national media attention, including Forbes Magazine,  Spencer Says ”It's My Money"  Forbes 2004  ( http://www.forbes.com/forbes/2004/1011/050_print.html )

 

The Morgans accumulated an impressive collection of Jewelry, Art, Artifacts, Antiques and Furnishings during their extensive world travels to far-flung places throughout Europe, Asia and the Americas . Many of the artifacts and furniture, such as a 10.5 foot Buddha sculpture from Thailand, were acquired to appoint  a home they were building, “The Cedars”, a 26,000 square-foot home near the Spencer Theater for the Performing Arts in  Alto, NM, and numerous other properties owned by the Morgans.

The Sale will offer many 16th & 17th century artifacts from a Buddhist Temple acquired in Phuket, Thailand, acquired prior to the devastation of the 2004 Tsunami; a collection of Lalique of France; an art collection including Matisse, Cezanne, Warhol, Peter Hurd and an important original Picasso; Appraised and Authenticated Estate Jewelry including Henry Dunay, Yurman, Cartier, Gucci, Philip Stein, Corum, H. Stern; European, Asian and African Antiquities and fine furnishings from K reiss Galleries, Swaim and many custom designed offerings.
